Dancin' In The Streets
|
|
Talented singers, phenomenal dancers and old-time usherette, begins at the turn of the century by presenting the "Movietone News Medley," with songs "Everything Old is New Again" and "Alexanders Ragtime Band." Then the girls have a ball with the Roaring 20's in "Won't You Charleston With Me" and step right up to attention and salute the years of the 1940s in "Stuff Like That There."
The cast joins together to bring in the 1950's and 1960's with fun-filled, foot-tapping rock 'n' roll in songs like "Good Vibrations," "Monday, Monday," "American Woman," "The Lion Sleeps Tonight," and many more contemporary favorites. The decade of peace and love from the 1960's turns into the wild and colorful decade of the 1970's as the singers and dancers move and groove to "Stayin Alive" and "Thats the Way I Like It."
After the show jams to the music of the 1980s and 1990s, its time to close out the millennium with "Finale 2000" as the cast and audience alike celebrate the century.
Blended into the musical numbers is the hysterical comedy of Adam Leslie.
